We recently deployed a paperless filing system called Volume that allows our staff to access all the documentation on clients electronically.
We can now easily pull up details such as the policy wording, excesses, limits and claims history and view it on a screen. This improves efficiency dramatically, because the hardcopy files are traditionally kept in file cabinets in different departments. It might have taken hours if not days to gather the information in the past, now it’s instant.
Several people can view the same file and it directly benefits the client because we can handle the file efficiently.
